Theft of water is the unauthorized use or receipt of water without the consent of FTMA. This can occur by use of an unmetered by-pass or through a fire hydrant without proper backflow prevention and meter. FTMA does not produce its own water, thus we have to purchase all of our water through interconnects with other Authorities. FTMA's operations staff is very diligent regarding water leaks and unaccounted water. If you see anyone using a fire hydrant or accessing water through an unauthorized connection, please contact the office so we can further investigate. If you need to use water for a construction site or other temporary reasons, please contact FTMA so we can arrange for a temporary meter and necessary backflow prevention so that you can properly obtain your water needs.
